Ezrah Stone began its musical journey many moons ago when a young Jeffrey Klassen, destined to become a guitar virtuoso, first teamed up with his best friend Darell to create sounds that transcended the ordinary.
Jeffrey reformed Ezrah Stone with a new vision during the 2020 global pause, bringing together talents like Josh Reimer to reintroduce the band with fresh energy and innovative soundscapes. The rebirth of Ezrah Stone is not just a continuation but a reinvention that marries the gritty essence of 1970s classic rock with the soulful depth of modern beats, enhanced by superb male/female harmonies and a distinctive European synth influence.
The band’s music, primarily penned by Jeffrey amidst the solitude of the pandemic, reflects a sophisticated narrative of personal and collective experiences, inviting listeners to explore lush, rich sonic textures and clever songwriting that speaks to both the heart and the mind. Under the expert production of Dale Penner of Paradise Alley Productions—whose credits include notable acts like Nickelback—and the legendary bass rhythms of Leland Sklar, each track offers a journey through emotions and time. The inclusion of the Morden Ukrainian children's choir in tracks like 'Paint a Picture' adds a unique layer, connecting the past with the present in harmonious accord.
